Gudie for Authors

  • Peer Review and Editing

1.Review PolicyThe journal follows a double-blind review process. After submission, the editorial office will conduct a preliminary review of the manuscript. The editorial office will reject the manuscripts which are insufficient in originality, have serious scientific or technical mistakes, lack valuable information, or are not within the scope of the journal. The manuscripts which have passed the preliminary review will be anonymously sent to two or more reviewers, who evaluate the article on scientificity, innovation and practicality. The authors must respond to the reviewers' every comment and submit the revised version in time. This process would be repeated until reviewers and editors are satisfied with the manuscript. The editorial office shall impartially select manuscripts on the basis of academic quality and the review comment. For the final round of review, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief decides whether the article can be published or not.

The review comments will not be publicly released. Before peer review, the editor will communicate thoroughly with the reviewers regarding the journal's review process and acceptance criteria.

2.Editing PolicyAll authors shall be responsible for their own writing. According to the Copyright Law, for the accepted manuscripts, the journal may make some technical or wording amendments. However, if the amendment involves a change of meaning, the editorial office will contact the authors for confirmation.

3.TimingAfter receiving the manuscript, the editorial office will generally notify the author of acceptance within 3 months. If the review result has not been received more than 3 months after submission, it can be inquired to editorial office. Manuscripts to be accepted need to be revised for several times, the longest revision time limit is 1 month after notifying the author of each review opinion. Over the deadline, the manuscript will be regarded as being withdrawn.

4.Submission by EditorsThe editorial staff/editors/editorial board members should not be involved in publishing decisions on papers which they have written themselves or have been written by their family members or colleagues. Any such submission should be strictly subject to the journal’s usual editorial process. Peer review should be handled independently from the relevant author/editor and their research groups.

5.Appeals: If the author has objections to the review comments or results, he/she may submit a written appeal to the editorial department and send it to the journal's email address (cjs@chinastroke.net). The author must provide a detailed explanation for each of the review comments. The editorial department will review the appeal promptly and provide feedback to the author. Please note that, in principle, only one appeal is permitted for each manuscript.

6.Feedback: If any readers and authors have any feedback, comments or allegations on the review process or the articles of the journal, they can send their comments to the journal's email address (cjs@chinastroke.net), and the editorial department will process them as soon as possible after receiving and give feedback as appropriate. The journal welcomes readers and authors to supervise each other and actively feedback relevant information to the journal to jointly create a good academic atmosphere.
