Abstract: With the development of medical technology in neurology and increase of the number of stroke patients, the demand for neurointensive monitoring and management is increasing year by year. As a subspecialty of neurology, neurointensive care has the characteristics of intensive care. As a new subspecialty, neurointensive care medicine still has many problems, such as the development of discipline theory system, the ability of medical staff, especially the lack of systematic clinical training for medical staff. This article elaborated the current status of the training for physicians in neurointensive care in China, and put forward some problem-solving suggestions, to promote the development of discipline theory system and the clinical competence of physicians in neurocritical care.
