Discussion about Pathogenesis and Clinical Features of Post-stroke Epilepsy

Abstract

Abstract:

Stroke and epilepsy are two kinds of common neurological diseases, which associate with each other closely. Epilepsy is the common comorbidity of stroke and seizures or epilepsy after stroke may also affect on stroke outcome and the quality of patient’s life. Therefore, researchers pay more and more attention to the study of post-stroke epilepsy. Although results regarding the post-stroke epilepsy were not consistent due to many interference factors, there was still progress in some aspects including influence factors, pathogenesis and clinical features. The further understanding of post-stroke epilepsy can help us to make the correct diagnosis and treatment strategies, which can ultimately improve the prognosis and quality of life of patients.

摘要：

卒中和癫痫都是神经科常见疾病，而这两种疾病之间有着十分密切的联系。卒中患者经常会继发痫性发作，而卒中后痫性发作或癫痫又可能影响卒中患者的预后以及生活质量，因此，关于卒中后癫痫的研究越来越受到重视。虽然迄今关于卒中后痫性发作的研究数据受到各种因素的干扰而并不一致，但是近些年来在影响因素、发病机制以及临床特点方面仍然取得了一些进展。对卒中后痫性发作的深入了解有助于制定正确的诊治方案，改善患者的预后，提高生存质量。
